Zinc Oxide (CAS#1314-13-2)
Pure zinc oxide is a white, odorless powder, free from mechanical impurities. It is insoluble in water but can dissolve in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether. Exhibiting the properties of an amphoteric oxide, it reacts with dilute acids to form zinc salts and with strong bases to form zincates.

Product Usage
Zinc oxide is widely applied across multiple industries. In the rubber industry, it serves as a vulcanization activator and reinforcing agent. In coatings and inks, it functions as a white pigment and rust inhibitor. In the pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields, it is used as a raw material for topical preparations and physical sunscreens. In electronics and photovoltaics, it is utilized in transparent conductive films and as buffer layers in photovoltaic modules.
Additionally, zinc oxide can be used as a food or feed additive to fortify zinc, as a ceramic flux, and as an adsorbent or photocatalyst for environmental applications.
