Product Description of Melamine CAS#108-78-1
Melamine, also known as "melamine," "protein essence," or "melamine (Pinyin: mì'àn)," is a nitrogen-rich triazine heterocyclic organic compound commonly used as a chemical raw material. It appears as a white monoclinic crystal, nearly odorless, slightly soluble in water (3.1 g/L at room temperature), and soluble in solvents such as formaldehyde, acetic acid, hot ethylene glycol, glycerin, and pyridine, while being insoluble in acetone and ethers. Melamine is toxic and is not suitable for use in food processing or as a food additive. Unfortunately, it has been illicitly added to dairy products by some unscrupulous merchants to artificially increase measured protein content.

Product Application of Melamine CAS#108-78-1
Melamine is a key nitrogen-containing heterocyclic organic chemical intermediate produced from urea. It is increasingly valued for its environmental performance and versatile applications. Melamine is widely used across industries such as wood processing, plastics, coatings, water reducers, papermaking, adhesives, textiles, leather, electrical appliances, pharmaceuticals, and flame retardants. Over decades of development, China has established its own unique semi-dry production technology while also adopting and improving advanced foreign processes and equipment, further strengthening the domestic melamine industry. Today, China has become the world’s largest producer and exporter of melamine.
