Product Description of Direct Pigment Yellow 3 (CAS#6486-23-3)
Direct Pigment Yellow 3 is a greenish light yellow powder with a bright and vivid color. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone when heated, and it turns yellow upon contact with concentrated sulfuric acid. The pigment remains stable in concentrated nitric acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid, and dilute sodium hydroxide. It demonstrates excellent lightfastness and heat resistance. This pigment is primarily intended for scientific research and is not suitable for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
The pigment has a total solid content of 55% and a pigment solid content of 40%, with a pH range of 6–8. Its performance characteristics include water washing fastness (stain level 4–5), fading level (3–4), temperature resistance (up to 180°C at 6% concentration and 160°C at 1% concentration), dry rubbing fastness (3–4), wet rubbing fastness (3), alkaline and acid treatment fastness (both level 4), as well as excellent light fastness and weather resistance (both level 7).
