Copper(II) Phthalocyanine #147-14-8
Copper(II) phthalocyanine, commonly referred to as CuPc, is used as an electron donor in combination with fullerene-C60 or phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) in vacuum-deposited organic photovoltaics (OPV). Power conversion efficiencies of approximately 1% have been achieved, which can be further increased to around 4% when using a pentacene-doped CuPc layer.
